Corrections Committee: Tom S. 896-4299 Tom was not present. A few members are concerned as they are still waiting for approval to do service work. It was suggested they call Tom for furthur information.

Answering Service: Keith M. 863-3620 The committee is currently updating the 12 step call list. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Keith. They are also planning on moving the telephone listing to the white pages of the phone book when updating the summer meeting schedule. Jim M. has been successful in re-establishing our Web Page. For those interested, just type (www.aadistrict12and13.org) minus the brackets. If you want to send information, contact Tom P. or Jim M. at (admin@aadistrict12and 13.org) minus the brackets. Kudos to Jim and Tom for their work!

Archives Committee: Larry S. 737-8039 Larry requested a job description of his responsibilities. Sue S. DCM will provide him with this information. Larry also would like to have and alternate to share responsibilities in case of schedule conflicts. Anyone interested in this area of service work should contact Larry.

PI/CPC Committee: Dorothy G. 868-7623 Dorothy provided flyers with the answering service phone number. These are written in both English and Spanish. Teh informational flyers are to be posted in various public places to reach the alcoholic interested in contacting AA. Dorothy also asked for support on her committee which meets at 7pm prior to each district meeting. Also, anyone who could help to distribute flyers would be greatly appreciated. Contributions are also welcome as this committee is working on a limited budget.

Events Committee: Katie M. 737-1484 Katie is our new Events Committee Chair. The annual District campout will be held at Governor Bebb Park the weekend of July 13. It starts Friday evening and ends Sunday at noon. There are several activities planned this year. Please see enclosed flyer. The annual District picnic will be September 9 at Joyce Park in Shelters 2 & 3. The events committee is discussing ideas for several activities this year including workshops and spaghetti dinners. The next meeting will be June 10 at 4:30PM at the Hamilton Post Building at 450 Second Street. Anyone interested in joining should attend.

Grapevine Committee: David H. David was not present.

Tradition/Concept: Larry S. did Tradition 6 this month. Yvette C. will present Tradition 7 in May.

Old Business: There was no old business to be discussed.

New Business: Pat B.announced that since she has accepted the position of Area 56 Treasurer, she is stepping down as DCM 13. Larry R. (Alt DCM 13) became the new DCM of District 13 per protocol. Sheila F. was elected as the new Alternate DCM of District 13. Congratulations to both Larry and Sheila.

Questions/Problems: Next month we will continue a discussion to determine if the district members feel the need to vote for the Events Chair. A question arose about the voting process outside of the district meeting. Patty W. suggested that we should all review guidelines for these issues to prevent future problems.

Next District Meeting: The next district meeting will be June 11, 2001.

Announcements: The Ladies Night Out meeting is changing to Monday nights at 6PM at Trinity Episcopal Church beginning May 21st. There will be no meeting on May 19th. The Fairfield Sunday Night Group will be celebrating their anniversary on May 20th. They will be eating at 7PM and will have a dual AA/ALANON Lead at 8PM. Please bring a covered dish. There is a new meeting starting May 17th called Living Sober And Free. The meeting will be held at 6:30 at the New Wine Worship Center located on the corner of Ridgelawn and North E. Streets. Meetings needing support: Fairfield Wednesday Night which meets on Wednesday at 7:30 at Performance Autoplex and the new Spanish Speaking Meeting which meets on Saturday at 6:00PM at 622 East Ave.
